PASO Annual Report 2024 – Now Available!
The Pacific Aviation Safety Office (PASO) has released its Annual Report for 2024, following endorsement by the PASO Council of Directors.
The PASO Annual Report 2024 provides a comprehensive account of the regional aviation organisation’s operational performance and financial activities during the year. It offers key insights for Member States, development partners, and the broader Pacific aviation community, while also outlining PASO’s strategic priorities for 2025 and beyond.
PASO’s achievements and milestones throughout 2024 are presented through in-depth reporting and visual data. Key highlights include:
✅ Full regional coverage achieved through delivery of 568 regulatory oversight days
✅ Progress on the Pacific Island Inspectors Program, building local capability
✅ Launch of new strategic partnerships with Qatar Civil Aviation Authority and Pacific Fusion
✅ Expansion of PASO’s internal systems and quality assurance under GASOS and RRAP initiatives
✅ Delivery of in-country Member consultations and engagement aligned with the 2050 Blue Pacific Strategy
✅ PASO’s successful recovery from the December earthquake in Vanuatu, demonstrating operational resilience
✅ A 4.0/5 rating in PASO’s first-ever Staff Engagement Survey, reflecting a strong organisational culture
The Annual Report also provides audited financial statements, confirming PASO’s prudent financial management and accountability, as required under the Pacific Islands Civil Aviation Safety and Security Treaty (PICASST) and PASO’s Constitution.
An evaluation of PASO’s performance against the 2023–2032 Strategic Plan and 2024 Business Plan is also included, providing a roadmap of the organisation’s achievements and its ongoing commitment to continuous improvement.
